At EgoGames, a bonus is not a lure with a catch hidden in the small print but a tool for more playing time. For that to work, the rules have to be clear. On this page we explain our welcome package stage by stage, all the bonus terms, several worked examples and the mistakes we see most often in live chat.
The short version: new players receive up to €2,750 in bonus funds and 335 free spins on their first four deposits. The minimum deposit is €20, the wagering 30x, a bonus is valid for 10 days and free spins for 24 hours. No bonus code is needed. After the package come reloads, cashback and the Coin Shop, which we present in detail on the promotions page.
All bonus offers are aimed exclusively at players aged 18 and over.
The welcome package in one table
| Stage | Bonus | Maximum | Free spins | Slot |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st deposit | 110% | €500 | 110 | Gates of Olympus 1000 |
| 2nd deposit | 75% | €750 | 75 | Bigger Bass Splash |
| 3rd deposit | 50% | €1,000 | 50 | The Dog House Muttley Crew |
| 4th deposit | 100% | €500 | 100 | Revenge of Loki Megaways |
| Total | 335% | €2,750 | 335 | four different slots |
We deliberately chose four stages. A single big bonus on the first deposit tempts players to pay in more than planned on day one. Four stages, on the other hand, make it possible to get to know EgoGames with a small amount first and only then decide whether to use the next stage at all. Nobody has to take all four stages.
The four stages in detail
Stage 1: 110% up to €500 and 110 free spins
For us, the first stage is the strongest of the whole package. 110% means the bonus is even slightly higher than the deposit itself. Depositing €50 brings €55 in bonus, depositing €200 brings €220. The maximum of €500 is reached with a deposit of around €455.

On top of that come 110 free spins on Gates of Olympus 1000. The slot is one of the best-known titles in our lobby: wins come from matching symbols anywhere on the grid, winning symbols disappear and new ones drop in, and Zeus hands out multipliers of up to 1,000x. The title is highly volatile. That means some free spin runs bring little and some surprise. Both are part of it.
Our opinion: for most players, this stage is worthwhile even with a moderate deposit, because 110 free spins mean plenty of playing time even without a large bonus amount.
Stage 2: 75% up to €750 and 75 free spins
At the second stage, the rate drops to 75%, but the possible maximum rises to €750. A €100 deposit brings €75 in bonus, a €400 deposit €300. The maximum is reached with a deposit of €1,000.
The 75 free spins are for Bigger Bass Splash, the bigger version of the well-known fishing slot. The principle stays familiar: in the base game, money fish land on the reels, and in the free spins the fisherman collects their values.
Our opinion: the second stage is a good compromise for anyone who has taken a liking to EgoGames after the first deposit. Small deposits get slightly less bonus here than at stage 1, but still a solid rate.
Stage 3: 50% up to €1,000 and 50 free spins
The third stage has the highest bonus amount in the package, but the lowest rate. 50% on a €100 deposit means €50 in bonus. The maximum of €1,000 is only reached with a deposit of €2,000.
On top of that come 50 free spins on The Dog House Muttley Crew, a slot about a gang of dogs with sticky wilds in the free spins.
Our honest opinion: this stage is mainly interesting for players who are planning larger deposits anyway. For smaller amounts, the rate is comparatively low. Anyone playing with €20 or €50 can also skip this stage and move straight on to the fourth, provided the order allows it. The cashier shows the exact sequence with every deposit.
Stage 4: 100% up to €500 and 100 free spins
The fourth stage returns to a round doubling. 100% means the deposit and bonus are the same size. A €100 deposit brings €100 in bonus, and the maximum of €500 is reached with a €500 deposit.
The 100 free spins are for Revenge of Loki Megaways, a slot with Norse mythology and thousands of ways to win per spin. With 100 free spins, this is one of the most generous free spin amounts in the whole package.
Our opinion: after stage 1, this is the second-best stage, especially for players making medium-sized deposits.
All bonus terms
A bonus is only as good as its rules. That is why all the terms that apply to the welcome package are listed here.
| Term | Rule at EgoGames |
|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | €20 per stage |
| Bonus code | not required |
| Wagering on bonus funds | 30x |
| Wagering on free spin winnings | 30x |
| Bonus validity | 10 days after activation |
| Free spin validity | 24 hours after being credited |
| Slot contribution | most slots 100% |
| Table and live game contribution | considerably lower |
| Excluded games | some jackpot titles and selected games do not count |
| Finding eligible games | "Bonus Wagering" lobby filter |
Further rules, for example on stake limits during an active bonus or on excluded payment methods, are set out in the full bonus terms in the account and on the respective promotion card. We recommend reading these rules in full once before the first activation.
What 30x wagering means
Wagering describes how much playing volume is needed before bonus funds become withdrawable real money. At 30x, the bonus amount is multiplied by 30. A bonus of €50 therefore requires €1,500 in playing volume.
The key words are playing volume. This means the total of all stakes, not the loss. Someone who stakes €1 and wins €2 has still only generated €1 of wagering. So completing €1,500 of wagering does not mean having lost €1,500, but having staked €1,500 in total, with winnings flowing back into the balance again and again along the way.
The other side is just as important: wagering is not a promise of winnings. The balance can be used up completely while wagering. A bonus extends playing time, but it does not change the probabilities of the games.
Understanding game weighting
Not every game counts equally towards wagering. Most slots count 100%, so a €1 stake brings €1 of wagering. Table and live games count considerably less, and some jackpot titles and selected games not at all.
An example makes the difference clear. Suppose a game counts 10%. Then a €1 stake brings only €0.10 of wagering. For €1,500 of wagering, €15,000 in stakes would be needed on this game, ten times as much. That is why the live casino is practically unsuitable for bonus wagering, and why we tend to recommend cashback to live players.
The easiest way to avoid mistakes: use the "Bonus Wagering" filter in the games overview. Only games eligible for bonus wagering are listed there.
Worked examples
Numbers become clearer when they are worked through in concrete terms. Here are three typical everyday cases.
Example 1: small first deposit
A new player deposits €20 and activates stage 1.
- Deposit: €20
- Bonus (110%): €22
- Playing balance: €42
- Free spins: 110 on Gates of Olympus 1000
- Bonus wagering: €22 x 30 = €660
€660 of wagering sounds like a lot for a €42 balance. At a stake of €0.40 per spin, that is 1,650 spins in 10 days, around 165 a day. Achievable, but only with regular play. On top of that come the winnings from the 110 free spins, which are also wagered 30x.
Our opinion: for a first impression of EgoGames, this is a good choice. Anyone who knows there will be little time over the next 10 days can also decline the bonus and just enjoy the free spins, provided the cashier offers this option.
Example 2: medium deposit at stage 2
A player deposits €200 with their second deposit.
- Deposit: €200
- Bonus (75%): €150
- Playing balance: €350
- Free spins: 75 on Bigger Bass Splash
- Bonus wagering: €150 x 30 = €4,500
At €1 per spin, that is 4,500 spins in 10 days, about 450 a day. That is a lot. Anyone who does not play every day should consider whether a smaller deposit with a smaller bonus fits their own rhythm better.
Example 3: wagering free spin winnings
The 100 free spins on Revenge of Loki Megaways from stage 4 bring €35 in winnings in total.
- Free spin winnings: €35
- Wagering (30x): €35 x 30 = €1,050
- Deadline: within the bonus validity
A common misunderstanding: free spin winnings are not immediately withdrawable. They are credited as bonus funds and only become real money once the wagering is complete.
What these examples show
The higher the bonus, the higher the wagering. A big bonus is only an advantage if there is enough time and budget to wager it within 10 days. For many players, a medium bonus that can be wagered in a relaxed way is therefore a better choice than the maximum.
Which slots are suitable for bonus wagering?
The "Bonus Wagering" filter shows which games count. Which of them suit a particular bonus best is a second question. Volatility plays the main role here.

Low to medium volatility
Slots with low to medium volatility pay out small wins more often. The balance fluctuates less, and the chance of reaching the wagering without an early total loss is usually better. The downside: big hits are rarer, and often only a small remainder is left at the end.
For steady wagering, such titles are the first choice, especially with a high bonus and a lot of playing volume. Many classics from Play'n GO and NetEnt belong to this group.
High volatility
Highly volatile slots, such as many Nolimit City titles or the free spin slots from our package like Gates of Olympus 1000, work differently. Long phases without any significant win alternate with rare but big spikes. A single hit can make wagering considerably easier, but the balance can also be used up quickly.
Our opinion: high volatility suits smaller bonuses, where a total loss can be absorbed and a big hit changes a lot. For a bonus of several hundred euros, on the other hand, we tend to recommend a calmer approach.
Stake size
The stake size affects how quickly the wagering is reached, but also how quickly the balance fluctuates. A higher stake builds wagering faster but also uses up the balance faster. A low stake needs more spins but keeps the balance stable for longer. Stake limits may also apply during an active bonus; these are set out in the full bonus terms. Checking them before the first spin is worthwhile.
Keeping track of wagering progress
In the bonus information in the account, we show the following for every active bonus:
- the original bonus amount
- the wagering already completed
- the remaining wagering
- the expiry date
We recommend checking this overview briefly once a day. That makes it possible to see early on whether the wagering is realistic in the time remaining. An example: after five of ten days, only 20% of the wagering has been completed. Then it is time for an honest decision: either increase the pace, which often costs more money and time than planned, or deliberately let the bonus expire.
We consider the second option entirely legitimate. A bonus that expires costs nothing except the bonus itself. The player's own money remains, insofar as it has not been played away.
Which bonus suits which budget?
A bonus should follow the budget, not the other way round. The following table shows what the four stages look like at different deposit amounts.
| Deposit | Stage 1 (110%) | Stage 2 (75%) | Stage 3 (50%) | Stage 4 (100%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| €20 | €22 bonus | €15 bonus | €10 bonus | €20 bonus |
| €50 | €55 bonus | €37.50 bonus | €25 bonus | €50 bonus |
| €100 | €110 bonus | €75 bonus | €50 bonus | €100 bonus |
| €250 | €275 bonus | €187.50 bonus | €125 bonus | €250 bonus |
| €500 | €500 bonus (max.) | €375 bonus | €250 bonus | €500 bonus (max.) |
And this is what the corresponding wagering looks like at 30x:
| Bonus amount | Playing volume required |
|---|---|
| €20 | €600 |
| €50 | €1,500 |
| €100 | €3,000 |
| €250 | €7,500 |
| €500 | €15,000 |
This second table is the more important one. It shows how sharply the required playing volume grows with the bonus. €15,000 of playing volume in 10 days means 7,500 spins at €2 per spin, so 750 a day. For the vast majority of players, a bonus between €20 and €100 is therefore the more realistic range.
Typical situations and what happens next
In live chat, we explain the same situations again and again. Here are the most important ones with a short answer.
The balance is used up before the wagering is complete. Then the bonus ends. There is no remaining claim, and nothing has to be paid in. A new deposit is not necessary in this situation, and it is not sensible either if its only purpose is to rescue the old bonus.
A big win comes in the middle of wagering. The win flows into the bonus funds and remains subject to wagering. Only once the wagering has been completed in full do the funds become real money. Anyone who sees a big win and does not want to continue wagering should clarify in live chat what ending the bonus would mean before making a decision.
The 10 days run out. The remaining bonus funds and any winnings generated from them expire. The player's own money remains.
A game that does not count was played by mistake. The stakes are then not counted, or only partly counted, towards wagering. In the worst case, balance has been played away without moving the wagering forward. The "Bonus Wagering" filter reliably prevents this.
Taking part in a tournament during the bonus. Whether rounds with bonus funds count in a Battle is set out in the respective tournament rules. A look at the tournament card under tournaments clears this up before starting.
Bonus and VIP Club
The welcome package is the same for all new players, regardless of VIP level. The VIP Club mainly affects cashback: with every level, the rate and maximum rise, and the wagering falls until it is just 1x at level 25. On top of that there are free spin rewards for moving up and, from level 11, a personal manager who can also help directly with bonus questions.
For regular players, cashback therefore often becomes a more valuable building block over time than any single deposit bonus. Cashback with 1x wagering is practically as good as real money, whereas a deposit bonus with 30x wagering still has a long way to go.
The four free spin slots compared
Each stage of the welcome package brings free spins on a different slot. That is no accident: the four titles cover different playing styles, and together they make up a little tour through some of the most popular games in our lobby.
| Slot | Stage | Free spins | What makes it special |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gates of Olympus 1000 | 1 | 110 | pays anywhere on the grid, multipliers up to 1,000x, highly volatile |
| Bigger Bass Splash | 2 | 75 | fishing mechanic with money fish, easy to understand |
| The Dog House Muttley Crew | 3 | 50 | gang of dogs with sticky wilds in the free spins |
| Revenge of Loki Megaways | 4 | 100 | Norse mythology, thousands of ways to win per spin |
Our personal favourite in the team is Gates of Olympus 1000, because its free spins create the most excitement. Most new players, however, prefer to start with Bigger Bass Splash, because the slot can be explained in a minute. Revenge of Loki Megaways is the title with the biggest surprise: anyone who does not yet know Megaways is often amazed at how different each spin turns out.
A practical note: the free spins run at a fixed stake per spin that cannot be changed. The winnings are collected and credited as bonus funds after the last free spin.
How we ourselves read a bonus term
In the team, we go through the same questions for every new promotion before it goes live. The same list is also suitable for players who want to check a bonus:
- How high is the rate, and where is the maximum? Only from this does it become clear which deposit makes sense.
- What does the wagering relate to? For our welcome package, the bonus funds and the free spin winnings.
- How long is the bonus valid? With us, 10 days for the bonus and 24 hours for free spins.
- Which games count, and by how much? The "Bonus Wagering" filter answers this.
- Are there stake limits during the bonus? These are set out in the full terms.
- What happens with a withdrawal while wagering is outstanding? Bonus funds and bonus winnings can be forfeited.
- Does all of this fit the budget and schedule? The most important question of all.
Anyone who has answered these seven points calmly knows exactly what is involved. It takes less than five minutes and saves any surprises later.
Bonus on a smartphone
The complete welcome package can also be activated in our web app. The bonus selection in the cashier, the free spins in the slots and the wagering progress in the bonus information work on iOS and Android just as they do on a computer. All four free spin slots run smoothly in portrait mode.
Our only advice for mobile: read the full bonus terms calmly once rather than skimming them on the go. On a small screen, an important sentence easily slips through.
Activating, declining or ending a bonus
Activating
- Open an account and log in.
- In the cashier, choose the preferred payment method and enter at least €20.
- Tick the stage of the welcome package on offer.
- Confirm the deposit. The bonus and free spins are credited.
The free spins appear directly in the relevant slot. Wagering progress is visible at any time in the bonus information in the account.
Declining
Anyone who wants to play without a bonus simply leaves the box in the cashier unticked. The deposit is then credited as pure real money, without any wagering requirement. With us, this is a completely normal choice, and many live casino players do exactly that.
Ending
An active bonus can also be ended early in the bonus information in the account. The remaining bonus funds and any winnings generated from them are then forfeited. The player's own deposited money remains, insofar as it has not yet been played away. Anyone unsure what ending a bonus means in their specific case is best advised to ask in live chat first.
Bonus and withdrawal
The link between bonus and withdrawal is where most misunderstandings arise. So here are the most important points:
- With outstanding wagering: as long as a bonus is active and the wagering has not been completed, a withdrawal can cause bonus funds and any winnings from them to be forfeited.
- After completed wagering: once the wagering has been completed in full, the bonus funds become real money and can be withdrawn as normal.
- Withdrawal limits: regardless of the bonus, our general limits apply: a minimum of €20, a maximum of €500 per transaction, €3,000 per day and €20,000 per month.
- Verification: before the first withdrawal, we check the player's identity. Completing this straight after registration means no waiting later.
Our advice: take a quick look at the bonus information before a withdrawal. If no bonus is active any more or the wagering is complete, the withdrawal goes through without complications.
Bonus or cashback?
Alongside the welcome package, EgoGames offers weekly cashback, which works quite differently. Which option suits better depends on the playing style.
| Feature | Deposit bonus | Cashback |
|---|---|---|
| Timing | immediately on deposit | after the week |
| Basis | deposit amount | net loss for the week |
| Wagering | 30x | 10x to 1x, depending on VIP level |
| Ideal for | slot players with time | live players, occasional players |
| Activation | tick in the cashier | automatic |
At the entry level, cashback is 8% up to €50 with 10x wagering. It becomes much more attractive as the VIP level rises, up to 25% up to €7,500 with just 1x wagering at level 25. We explain how the levels work in the VIP Club.
Our opinion: players who mainly play slots and regularly have time get more out of the deposit bonus. Players who spend a lot of time in the live casino or want to play without wagering breathing down their neck do better with cashback. Of course, the two can be combined.
Reloads after the welcome package
After the four stages of the welcome package, regular reloads follow:
- Wednesdays: 100 free spins on Sweet Bonanza
- Weekend: 50% up to €100 and 50 free spins on Big Bass Splash from a €40 deposit
The reloads have their own terms, shown on the respective promotion card. All the details, worked examples and a weekly calendar are on the promotions page.
The Coin Shop
A bonus without any deposit at all: while playing at EgoGames, credits build up that are exchanged for free spins in the Coin Shop. The selection includes Book of Fallen, Temple Tumble and Money Train 3, among others.
For us, the Coin Shop is the most relaxed part of the bonus offer. There is no minimum deposit, no activation and no fixed date. Credits are redeemed whenever it suits. The exchanged free spins then follow the usual free spin rules.
Three typical cases from live chat
Some bonus questions come up so often that we can almost answer them in our sleep by now. Three typical cases that show what matters in practice.
The weekend player. A player deposits €300 at stage 2 on Friday evening, receives €225 in bonus and is pleased about the big balance. On Tuesday he notices that there is hardly any time during the week and only a fraction of the €6,750 wagering has been completed. Our answer in such cases is always the same: next time, it is better to choose a smaller amount that fits one's own rhythm. A bonus that can be wagered in a relaxed way is worth more than a big one that expires.
The live roulette player. A player activates stage 1 and then plays only live roulette. After a few days she wonders why the wagering bar barely moves. The reason is the game weighting: live games only count for a small share. Our advice: for this playing style, decline the deposit bonus and rely on the weekly cashback instead.
The lucky winner with outstanding wagering. A player lands a big win with the free spins from stage 1 and wants to withdraw straight away. But the win is bonus funds and is still subject to wagering. A withdrawal at that point would have cost the bonus and bonus winnings. After a short conversation in chat, he continues the wagering calmly. Whether anything is left at the end is up to the game, but he makes the decision with full knowledge of the rules.
All three cases have one thing in common: with a look at the terms before activation, they would never have arisen. That is exactly why we explain our rules in such detail.
Common bonus mistakes
From many conversations in live chat, we know the typical stumbling blocks. Almost all of them can be avoided with a little preparation.
- Bonus without a schedule: a high bonus with 30x wagering in 10 days needs regular play. Anyone with time only at weekends should choose a smaller bonus.
- Wrong games: live and table games barely count. Completing the wagering at the roulette table requires many times the stakes.
- Jackpot titles: some jackpot slots do not count towards wagering at all. The "Bonus Wagering" filter prevents this mistake.
- Forgotten free spins: 24 hours after being credited, they are gone.
- Withdrawing with outstanding wagering: this can cost the bonus and bonus winnings.
- Several bonuses at once: parallel deadlines almost always lead to one expiring.
- Depositing more than planned: the maximum is not a target. A bonus adapts to the budget, not the other way round.
Our recommendation for new players
If we could give a new player at EgoGames just one piece of advice, it would be this: start with stage 1 and an amount that is set aside for entertainment anyway. Try the 110 free spins on Gates of Olympus 1000, complete the wagering calmly on slots from the "Bonus Wagering" filter and only then decide whether to add stage 2.
That creates a good first impression of our lobby without a lot of money being in play on day one. And anyone who notices after the first stage that a bonus with wagering does not suit their own style simply carries on without one and takes the weekly cashback instead.
Handling bonuses responsibly
A bonus is entertainment, not a source of income. It increases the playing balance, but not the probability of winning. Anyone who notices that bonuses are becoming the main reason for deposits, or that losses are to be offset with new deposits, should take a break.
Our live chat sets up a self-exclusion at any time on request. Free and anonymous help is available from the German gambling addiction helpline run by the BZgA on 0800 1 37 27 00 (Monday to Thursday 10 am to 10 pm, Friday to Sunday 10 am to 6 pm) and at check-dein-spiel.de.
Frequently asked questions about the EgoGames bonus
Is a bonus code needed for the welcome package?
No. The welcome package is offered in the cashier with a qualifying deposit of €20 or more and can be activated there with a tick.
What is the wagering on the welcome bonus?
Bonus funds and winnings from free spins are each wagered 30x. A bonus of €100 therefore requires €3,000 in playing volume within 10 days.
Which games count towards bonus wagering?
Most slots count 100%. Table and live games count considerably less, some jackpot titles and selected games not at all. The "Bonus Wagering" lobby filter shows all eligible games.
How long is the bonus valid?
An activated bonus is valid for 10 days. Free spins must be used within 24 hours of being credited.
Is it possible to play without a bonus?
Yes. In the cashier, simply leave the bonus unticked when depositing. The balance is then pure real money without any wagering requirement, and the weekly cashback carries on regardless.
More playing time, clear rules
Four stages, €2,750 in bonus funds, 335 free spins and terms that fit into one table: that is our welcome package. The right slots for wagering are in the games overview, the weekly reloads under promotions, and anyone who wants to compete with others can drop by the tournaments. Quick rounds for in between are available under Mini Games.
