Whenever we talk about our offer at EgoGames, we almost always end up here first: in the games overview. Over 7,000 titles from more than 90 studios, over 100 jackpot slots, more than 900 live tables, around 110 roulette variants and about 100 blackjack games. On top of that there is a dedicated area for Mini Games and a selection of tournament games currently being scored in our Battles.

A number like that can be overwhelming. That is why we have put a lot of time into the question of how to still find things in such a big lobby. On this page we show how our games overview is structured, which studios and game types are behind it, how mechanics such as Megaways or Tumble work and what really matters when choosing a game. Our offer is aimed exclusively at adults aged 18 and over.

The games overview in numbers

Area Range at EgoGames
Total games over 7,000 titles
Game studios more than 90
Jackpot slots over 100
Roulette around 110 variants from about 20 providers
Blackjack around 100 variants from ten studios
Live tables over 900
Live baccarat around 80 tables
Live poker around 60 tables
Mini Games dedicated area in the lobby
Tournament games dedicated area with all scored titles

These numbers change constantly, because new games are added every week. The scale stays the same, though: at EgoGames there is something for practically every taste, from calm fruit slots to highly volatile Megaways machines, from digital blackjack to big live game shows.

How our lobby is structured

A lobby with over 7,000 titles only works with a clear order. We decided against a single endless list and instead divided the games into areas, each answering a specific question.

Top

The "Top" area shows the games our players are playing most often right now. For first-time visitors, this is the best starting point. Titles that have proven themselves over weeks end up here, not just the hype of a single evening.

New

"New" shows fresh releases, often on the day they come out. Anyone who likes to be the first to try what the studios are releasing should check in here regularly. Our impression after many years in the industry: roughly one in five new slots stays in the top lists for good, while the rest disappear from the conversation after a few weeks. For many, finding out which one it will be is part of the fun.

Hot

"Hot" is shorter-term than "Top". Here players can see which titles have received particularly high attention in the last few hours. That might be a new release, a slot from a running promotion or simply a game everyone in the chat is talking about right now.

Slots

The complete slot catalogue, sortable and filterable. This is where the largest part of our lobby sits, from classic three-reel games to modern titles with thousands of ways to win.

Jackpot

Over 100 slots with progressive or fixed jackpots. More on this further down in its own section.

Table games

Digital versions of roulette, blackjack, baccarat, video poker and other card games. Here, the player alone sets the pace.

Tournament games

All titles currently being scored in one of our Battles. The same list can be reached via the dropdown on the tournament page. Anyone who wants to take part in a tournament can check here fastest which slots count.

Bonus Wagering

A filter we ourselves recommend most often. It lists all games eligible for bonus wagering. Anyone with an active bonus saves themselves from looking it up in the terms.

Mini Games

A dedicated tab for quick game concepts with a single, easy-to-understand mechanic. Everything about it is on our Mini Games page.

Search and filters

Besides the areas, there are two tools for narrowing down the lobby quickly.

The search is the most direct route. A few letters are enough and the matching titles appear. One important point: many slots exist in several versions, for example as the original, a sequel or a Megaways edition. A quick check of the full name prevents a different version from being launched by mistake.

The studio filter shows all games from a particular provider. That is handy for anyone who knows which style they like. Anyone who appreciates the wild ideas of a particular studio can find all its titles in seconds this way.

Our tip for the first visits: start with "Top", find a game that appeals, and then use the studio filter to discover more titles from the same provider. Studios often have a recognisable signature, and anyone who likes one usually likes the studio's other games too.

More than 90 studios and their signature styles

More than 90 game studios stand behind our lobby. Each has its own style, and knowing the differences makes it quicker to find the right games. A small selection:

  • Pragmatic Play: the titles practically everyone knows. Big series such as the Bass slots or Gates of Olympus, lots of tumble mechanics and an enormous release pace.
  • Play'n GO: a fixture for years, with book slots, adventure themes and cluster games. Solid, easy to understand, often with a clear free spins round.
  • Nolimit City: the studio for anyone who likes things extreme. Highly volatile games, idiosyncratic themes and mechanics in which long dry spells and sudden spikes are part of the concept.
  • Relax Gaming: known for the Money Train series and for mechanics that stand out from the crowd. Often with respin features and special symbols.
  • Red Tiger: many slots with their own jackpot systems and a feel for colourful, fast games.
  • NetEnt: one of the pioneers of modern video slots. Many classics that have been running for years, and an Avalanche mechanic later picked up by many others.
  • ELK Studios: carefully designed maths, unusual features and a preference for games that let players steer things themselves.
  • Thunderkick: quirky, playful graphics and themes rarely seen elsewhere.
  • Yggdrasil: elaborately designed slots with their own feature systems and strong visuals.
  • Booming Games, Tom Horn Gaming and Endorphina: broad catalogues with classic and modern titles, often focused on fast, simple games.

On top of that come many smaller studios that sometimes have the most surprising ideas. One reason we bring so many providers into the lobby is exactly that: variety. Anyone who only ever plays the same three developers misses a large part of what modern slots can do today.

Popular slots in our lobby

Some titles keep appearing in the top positions. Here we present the games played particularly often at EgoGames, some of which also play a role in our promotions.

Game covers of Rise of Olympus 100, Crown Coins, Trinity Power Link and Hell Hot 100 from the slot lobby

Gates of Olympus 1000

Zeus reigns over a grid of six reels and five rows. Wins are not paid on lines but as soon as enough matching symbols land anywhere on the grid. After every win, the symbols disappear and new ones drop in. What makes the 1000 version special: multipliers of up to 1,000x can land on the grid. A highly volatile slot that can stay quiet for a long time and then suddenly explode. With 110 free spins, it is part of the first stage of our welcome package.

Sweet Bonanza

The sweets classic. Here too, the "pays anywhere" principle applies, with tumble mechanics. In the free spins, multiplier bombs drop that can turn a round around completely. Sweet Bonanza is our Wednesday slot: every week there are 100 free spins on it in our promotions.

Big Bass Splash

The fishing classic that launched an entire series. In the free spins, a fisherman appears who collects the values of all the money fish on the grid. Every extra fisherman brings additional rounds and higher multipliers. Easy to understand and therefore often the first slot new players try with us. At the weekend there are 50 free spins on it in the reload.

Bigger Bass Splash

The bigger sequel with a larger grid and more possibilities in the free spins. Anyone who likes the first one will feel at home here immediately. With 75 free spins, it is part of the second stage of the welcome package.

The Dog House Muttley Crew

A sequel in the popular Dog House series with a cheeky gang of dogs. The series is known for wild symbols with multipliers in the free spins that can really pick up speed. With 50 free spins, it is part of the third package stage.

Revenge of Loki Megaways

Norse mythology meets the Megaways mechanic with thousands of ways to win per spin. A game for anyone who likes things lively. With 100 free spins, it belongs to the fourth stage of the welcome package.

Money Train 3

A title with an almost legendary status in conversations among players. At its heart is a respin feature with special symbols that collect, distribute or multiply values. It often takes patience before it is triggered, and that is exactly what makes the moment so special when it finally runs. In the Coin Shop, credits can be exchanged for free spins on it.

Temple Tumble

Megaways with a twist: the grid is partly covered by stone blocks that crumble after every win and reveal new rows. The longer a winning chain runs, the bigger the grid becomes. A slot that starts more quietly than it ends. This title is also available in the Coin Shop.

Book of Fallen

A classic-style book slot. In the free spins, a symbol is chosen that expands across entire reels. Anyone who likes the familiar principle but wants a fresher look is in the right place. Also available in the Coin Shop.

Classics, adventures and animal worlds: the themes in our lobby

Besides the mechanics, the theme is what decides for many players which slot gets launched. Our lobby covers practically all the big themes:

  • Fruit and classics: cherries, sevens, bells. Simple grids, few lines and a feel like the old machines. Ideal for calm rounds without much reading.
  • Mythology: Greek gods, Norse sagas, Egyptian pharaohs. Hardly any theme is used as often, and hardly any produces as many highly volatile titles.
  • Adventure and treasure hunting: temples, explorers, lost cities. Often combined with book mechanics or cascades.
  • Animals and nature: from the fishing series to the dog slots. Usually friendly in design and easy to get into.
  • Sweets and colours: colourful grids with tumble mechanics where the grid is constantly in motion.
  • Western, crime and the darker side: mostly the domain of studios that like to provoke and work with extreme volatility.

One thought we often stress in conversations: the theme shapes the first impression but says nothing about the chances of winning. A calm, friendly design does not automatically mean low swings, and an elaborate animation does not make a game more generous. What matters are the mechanics, volatility and rules shown in the info menu.

How new games get into the lobby

New titles come out every week, and many of them land in our "New" area on release day. We do not simply take everything that comes out, though; we make sure new games run smoothly on desktop and smartphone and have clearly described rules.

For players this has a nice side effect: the lobby stays in motion. Anyone returning after a break of a few weeks is guaranteed to find something they have not tried yet.

Slot mechanics explained

Modern slots differ less in their theme than in their mechanics. Knowing the most important terms makes it quicker to understand what is happening in a game and which game suits one's own taste.

Classic paylines

The oldest form: a fixed number of lines runs across the grid, and a win occurs when matching symbols land from left to right on an active line. Classic fruit slots often work with few lines, modern video slots with 20, 25 or more. Simple, clear and for many players still the most pleasant way to play.

Ways and Megaways

Instead of fixed lines, all combinations of matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right count. With Megaways, the number of symbols per reel changes with every spin, so the number of possible ways to win also fluctuates, often into the hundreds of thousands. That makes Megaways games lively and unpredictable. Revenge of Loki Megaways and Temple Tumble are good examples.

Tumble, Avalanche and cascades

After a win, the symbols involved disappear, the remaining ones slide down and new ones drop in from above. This can produce several wins from a single spin. The studios give it different names, Tumble, Avalanche, Cascade, but at its core it means the same thing. Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus 1000 work on this principle.

Scatter pays

With this variant there are neither lines nor ways. A win occurs as soon as a minimum number of matching symbols lands anywhere on the grid. Combined with tumble, this creates the typical chains that define many modern slots.

Cluster pays

Matching symbols must touch each other in a group, horizontally or vertically. Cluster slots usually have a larger, square grid and feel more like a puzzle than a classic slot machine.

Hold and Win

Hold and Win games have a special round with respins. Certain symbols with cash values stay in place, and every new symbol resets the respins. At the end, all collected values are added up. Fixed jackpot tiers are often built in, reached when certain symbols appear or the whole grid is filled. The Money Train series has developed this idea further with special symbols.

Book slots

The principle is simple and has been popular for many years: a book symbol acts as both wild and scatter. In the free spins, a symbol is chosen that expands across entire reels and can therefore win even without being directly adjacent. Book of Fallen is a modern representative of this genre.

Bonus Buy

Some slots offer the option to buy the free spins round directly instead of waiting for it to trigger. The price is usually a multiple of the normal stake. We say it openly: a purchased feature is a separate, often expensive expense, and the result is just as random as any other round. Anyone using this function should always factor the price into the session budget.

Return to player and volatility

Two terms appear in almost every info menu: RTP and volatility. Both help when choosing a game but are often misunderstood.

What the return to player says

The RTP, return to player, indicates what share of all stakes is theoretically paid back over a very large number of rounds. On average, this value is around 96% in our lobby. That does not mean €96 comes back from €100 staked. It is a statistical average over millions of rounds. A single session can be well above or below it.

An important note: some slots exist in several RTP versions. The value that applies to a game with us is always shown in the info menu of that title. Values from other websites do not necessarily match.

What volatility means

Volatility describes how strongly results fluctuate.

  • Low volatility: many small wins, rare big spikes. The balance moves steadily.
  • Medium volatility: a mix of regular smaller hits and occasional bigger wins.
  • High volatility: long phases without any significant win, but the chance of rare, big hits.

Which suits better is a matter of taste. After a long day, we ourselves like to reach for calmer titles and save the highly volatile games for moments when a dry spell does not matter. A practical tip: with highly volatile slots, a smaller stake per spin is worthwhile so that the budget lasts long enough to get anywhere near the big features.

What neither value can do

Neither RTP nor volatility predicts how a specific session will go. No slot is "due" just because it has not paid out for a long time, and no game turns "cold" after a big win. Every spin is independent of the previous one. These values help with orientation, but never as a promise.

Jackpot slots

Over 100 titles in our lobby offer a jackpot. There are two basic forms:

  • Progressive jackpots: a small part of every stake flows into a pot that keeps growing until someone wins it.
  • Fixed jackpots: fixed tiers, often Mini, Minor, Major and Grand, usually triggered in a bonus game.

Jackpot games have their own appeal. But we also state their peculiarities clearly: because part of the stakes flows into the jackpot, the base return to player in normal play is often slightly lower than for comparable slots without a jackpot. In addition, some jackpot titles do not count towards bonus wagering. Anyone playing with an active bonus should therefore check the "Bonus Wagering" area first.

Our opinion: jackpot slots are for players who like the dream of the big hit and accept that everyday play in the game is a little slower as a result. Anyone looking more for regular entertainment is often happier with classic video slots.

Table games: digital and at one's own pace

Alongside the slots, we offer a wide selection of digital table games. The big advantage over the live casino: there is no dealer, no countdown and no waiting time. The player alone sets the pace.

Live tables Snakes and Ladders Live, Roulette Lobby and Privé Lounge Squeeze Baccarat

Roulette

Around 110 roulette variants from about 20 providers are in our lobby. Alongside European roulette with one zero, there are French variants with special rules for the zero and American versions with a double zero. On top of that come modern editions with multipliers, several balls or special betting fields.

Our advice: European or French roulette is best for getting started. The extra double zero in American roulette noticeably increases the house edge without making the game feel any more exciting.

Blackjack

Around 100 blackjack variants from ten studios. The differences are often in the details: how many decks are used, whether the dealer stands on a soft 17, when splitting or doubling down is allowed and whether side bets are offered. These rules affect the house edge, which is why it pays to read the game rules before starting.

Digital blackjack is ideal for practising basic strategy calmly. Anyone who knows the optimal decision for every combination of their own hand and the dealer's card plays far more consciously before moving to a live table.

Baccarat

Baccarat is one of the simplest card games of all. Bets are placed on the player, the banker or a tie, and the game handles everything else according to fixed rules. It is exactly this simplicity that makes baccarat attractive to many who want a calm, quick round without many decisions.

Video poker and other games

Video poker combines elements of slots and poker. Five cards are dealt, individual ones can be held or swapped, and wins are paid according to a table of classic poker hands. On top of that come other card games and poker variants against the house.

Live casino with over 900 tables

Anyone who prefers real dealers, real cards and a real roulette ball will find more than 900 tables in our live casino. The streams come from Evolution, Pragmatic Live, Ezugi, Vivo Gaming and CreedRoomz, around the clock and from professional studios.

Game shows

The big game shows have changed the live casino a great deal in recent years. Crazy Time is the best-known example: a huge wheel of fortune, four bonus games and an atmosphere more reminiscent of a TV show than a casino table. Especially in the evening, when the tables are full, a round of Crazy Time feels like a shared event.

Live roulette

Alongside classic tables there are variants such as Speed Roulette, with a round about every 25 seconds, and Gold Vault Roulette with additional multiplier fields. For quieter evenings we recommend a classic table at a normal pace, and Speed Roulette for quick rounds in between.

Live blackjack

Blackjack with a real dealer and fixed seats. Easy Blackjack is a relaxed introduction with clear rules. There are also tables with different stake limits, from beginner tables with low minimum bets to salons for higher limits.

Live baccarat and live poker

Around 80 live baccarat tables and about 60 live poker tables round off the offer. In live poker, the game is played against the house, not against other players. That makes getting started easy, because there are no opponents to read.

A few tips for the live casino

  • Watch a few rounds before the first bet. That quickly makes clear how pace and procedure work at the table.
  • Check the table's stake limits before taking a seat.
  • With an unstable internet connection, it is better to switch to digital table games.
  • Remember that live games only count towards bonus wagering to a limited extent.

Mini Games and tournament games as separate areas

Two areas of our games overview have their own pages because they work differently from the rest of the lobby.

The Mini Games are quick games with a single mechanic: uncovering tiles, cashing out in time, dropping a ball. They have their own tab in the lobby and their own page, where we explain the typical game types.

The tournament games are all titles currently being scored in a Battle. The dropdown on the tournament page leads directly to the game information. In the lobby, the "Tournament games" area shows the same selection.

Playing on a smartphone

Almost all games in our lobby also run on mobile, directly in the browser or via our web app, which can be saved as an icon on the home screen. No download from an app store is needed.

Modern slots are usually optimised for portrait mode and can be played comfortably with one hand. In the live casino, landscape mode is often more fun because the table and dealer appear larger. Digital table games work in both orientations.

A tip from experience: game rules and info menus are harder to read on a smartphone than on a computer. Anyone trying a new game should still take a calm look at the rules rather than skimming them on the train.

How to find the right game

With over 7,000 titles, choosing is sometimes the biggest challenge. From many conversations in live chat, we have derived a simple sequence that almost always helps:

  1. Choose the game type: slot, table game, live table or Mini Game? This decision narrows down the lobby immediately.
  2. Decide on volatility: calm entertainment or rare big spikes? The info menu provides the answer.
  3. Check the mechanics: classic lines, Megaways, Tumble or Hold and Win? Liking one mechanic is a good way to find more suitable games.
  4. Read the rules: know the stakes, special features and possible extra costs such as Bonus Buy before the first round starts.
  5. Choose a stake that fits the budget: the stake per round should be set so that the planned budget lasts for the desired playing time.

Anyone still undecided after these five steps can simply start with the "Top" area. The games there have proven themselves with hundreds of other players.

Games and bonuses: what counts towards wagering?

Anyone playing with an active bonus needs to know which games count towards wagering. At EgoGames, the following applies in principle:

Game category Contribution to bonus wagering
Most slots 100%
Table games considerably less
Live games considerably less
Some jackpot slots and selected titles 0%

The exact values for each category are in the bonus terms on our bonus page. The easiest option is the "Bonus Wagering" filter in the lobby: only games eligible for wagering appear there.

Our advice for players who mainly play in the live casino or at tables: a classic deposit bonus is often less attractive for this playing style. The weekly cashback from our promotions, on the other hand, works for every game and brings more and more as the level rises in the VIP Club.

Fair play and chance

The games in our lobby come from established studios whose titles work with random number generators. Every spin, every card and every result is determined independently of all previous ones. No EgoGames employee can influence the outcome of a round.

In the live casino, rounds are broadcast in real time from professional studios. Cards are shuffled and dealt on camera, and the roulette ball rolls on a real wheel.

This also leads to something we like to say clearly: there is no strategy that guarantees a win in games of chance. Patterns in past results are no prediction for the next round. Systems that raise stakes after losses do not remove the risk; they often just make the budget shrink faster.

Responsible gambling

However big our lobby is, gambling remains entertainment and not a source of income. It can lead to financial losses and can be addictive.

A few principles we recommend to all players:

  • Set a fixed budget and a fixed playing time before starting.
  • Only stake money whose loss can be absorbed without difficulty.
  • Do not try to win back losses with higher stakes.
  • Switching to the next game is not a break. A real break means putting the device aside.

A self-exclusion can be set up at any time via our live chat. Free and anonymous advice is available from the German gambling addiction helpline run by the BZgA on 0800 1 37 27 00 (Monday to Thursday 10 am to 10 pm, Friday to Sunday 10 am to 6 pm) and on the check-dein-spiel.de platform, with a self-test and counselling programme.
